Roblox is Adding AI Game Creation to iPhone and iPad

Online game platform Roblox today said it is adding a new Build tool that will let iPhone and iPad users create games using AI.

With the mobile-first Build option, Roblox users can write a text-based prompt and have AI turn it into a basic game. A single prompt will create a starting point that can be expanded with playtesting and further commands. The entire game-making process, from creation to uploading on the Roblox platform, can be done on a mobile device.

Right now, creating a game in Roblox requires a Mac or PC app, but Build will extend game creation to mobile users too. Roblox is also adding new AI creation tools to Roblox Studio, its desktop game creation software. Content created using the Build tool can be iterated on with Studio.

Roblox Build is set to roll out to the Roblox mobile app on July 28, beginning with a public alpha test for users in New Zealand. Build will roll out to additional regions in the coming months as Roblox improves the experience.

Roblox has 132 million daily active users, and user-created games like Brookhaven RP, Adopt Me, and Dress to Impress have been wildly popular.

If you think about this.
This anti AI sentiment could very well be the same type of negativity when photography was invented.

All the old people who valued highly skilled and classically trained artists who has spent many years studying human and animal anatomy, and of course other things like nature, landscapes etc etc.

Then along comes this new tech photography slop.
Now anyone with no skills at composition or art can just point this device, press one button and a picture is created.

So instead of a small amount of lovingly and skilfully created artworks, you will then have thousands of unskilled people creating all this stuff that will swamp everything.

It's funny that people now who are so anti AI are so similar in many ways to those old folks who hated photography.
But the world moves on, people in time accept the changes, new people are born into this new world and to them it's just totally normal and the way their life has always been.

Of course I do also understand this is an Apple forum, and Apple is so far behind in AI it's embarrassing for the richest company in the word to have to buy AI in from one of it's biggest rivals.
So naturally there is a lot of anti AI simply due to this, and if it was Apple who was leading the AI race then some opinions would be very different here :)
Yes, because photography was created by stealing works of art from people who had no say in the creation of the technology after the very same companies who created said technology were so against the stealing of intellectual property.

Photography is just different from painting. If they were the same thing, paintings would have disappeared the moment cameras became mainstream.

Roblox is still around?

Last I heard about it was all the articles about it being a haven for predators to hunt children. Gross.

You ask the AI to make a honeypot game that traps PDF files.

See, if you embrace technology and know how to use it you can become like Bruce Wayne Batman 3000.

We are not going to move on and adapt this time because any novel ways to create art or to earn a living will also be rapidly stolen by the AI companies. This is the endgame now. If the billionaires get their way the tools will become smarter than the operators in all possible ways and then it’s over for us.
