Still at least $100 more expensive than they should have been brand new. This is perhaps the Apple product I understand least.

I understand them wanting to have over-ear headphones, but not like this...

I bought and returned the AirPods Max Gen 2 because I found the battery life to be quite awful compared to the Sony WH-1000XM6. The bra case low power mode doesn't work properly. Also, I used a custom EQ and I got the XM6 to sound better. I wanted to like the APM because they seem easier to clean and volume control with the dial and AppleWatch is really cool. But in the end, Sony's marvelous invention called a power on/off button made be choose the XM6. I would avoid until Apple is able to invent a power button. Maybe the product management team will be able to turn the NC control button into a power button via a long press. Maybe...

With notorious collapsing/failing canopies, condensation breakage problems, no power button, a bizarre bra for a “case”, I honestly wonder if these are actually for people who would use these devices frequently or if they are just for clout when out & about. I do want a pair, and would consider this price point had Apple bothered to fix the mentioned concerns (maybe?…).

It’s not like these quality problems aren’t plastered across forums for everyone to see, so I’m not sure why they’re being bought considering the better options/prices out there.
