iOS 27 Introduces New 'iPhone Handoff' Feature
Apple has added a new iPhone Handoff feature to iOS 27 that will allow you to switch between two iPhones while using the same phone number on each device. Apple first revealed that the feature was coming back at WWDC 2026 and it has since mentioned it again in its press releases for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Duo this week.

iPhone Handoff requires support from carriers, which may charge a fee for the feature.
T-Mobile in the U.S. and Deutsche Telekom in Germany will be the first carriers to offer iPhone Handoff, with T-Mobile set to charge $5 per month for it.

Apple said iOS 27 will be released on Monday, September 14.
