Those SSD upgrade prices are insulting. I will not buy an Apple computer until they are more fair.

Does anyone else think the price for the new iMac is outrageous? 16GB of Ram and a 512 SSD will cost me $1700, oh and if I want enough ports to actually plug in peripherals that'll be another $200. I'll be looking elsewhere.

Im also not convinced when it comes to power brick. Its just increasing the overall cable clutter
Simple, the next iMac will come without the power brick, because you already have one.

Yeah, considering you can buy a 512GB SSD for $100 these days, $200 for the upgrade from 256-512 really hurts.

Also, if you want to avoid swap files (too many writes for the SSD), 16GB is a must. The top end model should have offered that by default.

At least they ditched the spinning drive finally.

If I hadn’t just bought a M1 Mac mini and LG 5K display I would lap one of these up immediately. Great new design, well done Apple 🍎

my only gripe is the omission of an old fashioned usb slot.
