The CMA has received over 14,000 votes on its Web site since the public was invited in June to help choose the next five inductees into its Computer Hall of Fame. Currently, Apple CEO (and company co-founder) Steve Jobs is tied for the lead with Doug Engelbart, the inventor of the first computer mouse in 1963. Steve Wozniak (known to many simply as "Woz"), Apple's other co-founder, is in third place.
Also in the running are Bill Atkinson (developer of the Lisa), Linus Torvalds, and Jobs' friend Ellison.
