MacWorld.co.uk reports on Sony's newly announced hard-drive based MP3 player -- the Giga Pavit.
The new player from Sony is the first to use the recently announced Cornice 2GB Storage Element. This storage media was announced on January 5th, and was speculated to be used in the (then) rumored Mini iPods. Instead, the iPod Mini uses a 4GB Hitachi Drive.
Sony's 2GB device is expected to retail at 35,000 Yen (~$327 US Dollars).
Last year, Apple launched CarPlay Ultra, the long-awaited next-generation version of its CarPlay software system for vehicles. Nearly a year later, CarPlay Ultra is still limited to Aston Martin's latest luxury vehicles, but that should change fairly soon.
In May 2025, Apple said many other vehicle brands planned to offer CarPlay Ultra, including Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis.
