At an $80 discount, this is a new all-time low price on this version of the 2021 iPad. Only Amazon has this steep of a markdown, and it's the only configuration of the iPad that's seeing a record low price at this time.

Although not a record low price, the 64GB Wi-Fi iPad is on sale for $299.00, down from $329.00, and it's available in both colors. For even more iPad deals, head to our full Best Deals guide for iPad.

Good price. But a new one might be coming soon. Maybe better to wait.

They mention the $299 price for the 64GB model as being a “sale”. In the USA, Walmart sells it for $299 every day of the year. I bet other countries have similar prices at retail stores.

It’s going to be updated in a month so these older models will be selling for MUCH cheaper if you wait.

Refresh around the corner. Only buy a current iPad and iPad Pro if you need it.

Given the major upcoming refresh, this is a Do Not Buy.

Even then, you can still get this 9th gen one. However, wait to see what the 10th gen offers first. It's not like they're going to raise the price of the 9th gen again. If I didn't already have the 64 GB one, I would've been ecstatic to get a 256 GB for as low as something like $375 (as opposed to an extra +$150)

Since people tend to keep their iPads for more than 3-4 years, it makes zero sense to buy a non-USB-C iPad at this very moment.
For me, *I* would. I still carry my iPod Touch 5, which also uses 8-pin (which admittedly, I use as a glorified flashlight, but it is very slim and light to also just carry around)

I guess it's relative. The original MSRP was $330. However it did finally go down to $300 around (IIRC) a few weeks back?
