These Are Apple's Only Products Still Sold With Lightning After Magic Accessories Switch to USB-C

Apple has been gradually transitioning its products from Lightning to USB-C in recent years. This trend continued today with Apple updating the Magic Mouse, Magic Keyboard, and Magic Trackpad accessories for the Mac with USB-C charging ports. The accessories have no other changes, meaning the Magic Mouse's charging port is still on the bottom.

For the time being, Apple is continuing to sell a Lightning version of the Magic Keyboard with a numeric keypad, but it lacks a Touch ID button. Apple has yet to release a USB-C version of this particular Magic Keyboard.

The list of Apple devices and accessories that are still sold with either a Lightning port or a Lightning connector is now quite small:

A new iPhone SE with a USB-C port is rumored to launch next year, while the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus should be discontinued next September.

I still dispise USB-C, basically the most fragile connector I’ve ever used
There's something wrong with your cable then because it really isn't the most fragile connector ever made - it's by far the most robust USB connector ever made, far far more than USB-A and leagues clear of all the horrible mini ones that existed prior.

I still dispise USB-C, basically the most fragile connector I’ve ever used, I’ve had to restart my iPad several times because the USB-C connector simply will never connect, no matter what type of device I connect to it it just simply will have stopped working. Once I restart the iPad USB-C comes back online.

The lightning connector I’ve used since it’s inception and basically have had zero issues with it on any device ever. Yes the cables wore out, yes sometimes I had to clean out the plug, but it was the most indestructible plug I’ve ever seen.
my AirPods Max and my AirPods Pro 2 all have lightning, my new USB-C AirPods Pro. I simply use my Apple Watch charger to charge. I do have USB-C and I use it to connect things all the time, but I see no advantage to charge a 1.5 W device with the USB-C where a lightning would work just as well.

I am in no rush upgrade devices simply because I have a need to only have one cable. Who uses just one cable, I’m currently charging three devices and I have three different cables. Imagine that.

Take care of that baby :D iPhone 4 was the Porsche 911 G Turbo of iPhones, best-looking iPhone and maybe the best-looking consumer electronics product of all time.
