Apple Promotes Vision Pro in New Mother's Day-Themed Ad

Apple today shared a new spatial video that's designed to highlight the Vision Pro headset, demonstrating how the device can be used to make and preserve memories.

For the video, two parents, Sam and Khulan, filmed their newborn son using iPhones that are capable of recording spatial video. Sam then edited the footage into a home video for Khulan to watch on the Apple Vision Pro, and the video shows Khulan's reaction to seeing the montage.

The video has a Mother's Day theme as Mother's Day is this Sunday in the U.S, and it was created by longtime Apple ad agency TBWA/Media Arts Lab.

Apple released iOS 26.5 yesterday with a new Suggested Places feature in the Apple Maps app, which is a precursor to the ads that Apple plans to start showing later this year. Reminds me of when Homer bought Marge a bowling ball for her birthday.

I despise this sort of products so much. Just live in the reality people, be present. There's nothing better than being sober and being present. Live in the moment. You don't need another new iPhone for doomscrolling or youtube binging or arguing with people on reddit, and you don't need headsets such as these.

We need less screens, less screentime, more grass touching 😄

Nailed it. Watching videos and looking at photos of your loved ones on Vision Pro is a very emotional experience.

I’ve cried in mine multiple times, the haters will understand one day.

I was going to be very cynical about this and say how out of touch it is because of the $3500 price tag, but then I actually watched it. It's actually pretty well done and would probably be a cool use case (I've not experienced VP). I did photo/video slideshows for my 3 kids when they turned 1. I and my wife thought they were great, but this would probably be next level.

I take it you never bought a digital camera, a camcorder, or take any pictures on your phone of your family then? 🧐

This video is sweet. It's obviously done for the sake of showing off these products, but it does it in a very human way - showing the new baby growing up in a way that feels more real than scrolling through some photos the parents took randomly over the year.

At least it’s not an advert where someone is cheating, forgot someone’s birthday etc

But suggesting a 3500 dollar headset is a good Mother’s Day present.

You could buy her a holiday of a lifetime, with memories that last a lifetime.
