Apple Has Good News for CarPlay Users
Apple today announced the launch of CarPlay Ultra, and the press release includes some reassuring news for existing CarPlay users.

Specifically, Apple has confirmed that regular CarPlay and CarPlay Ultra will exist side by side.
Here is what Apple said:
CarPlay Ultra joins CarPlay, which is beloved by drivers around the world and has fundamentally changed the way people interact with their vehicles, providing a safer, smarter way to use iPhone in the car.
Behind the scenes, Apple had already told reporters that it would continue to offer the regular version of CarPlay in vehicles, alongside next-generation CarPlay. However, it had not publicly acknowledged this plan until now.
CarPlay Ultra's key advantages over regular CarPlay include deeper integration with a vehicle's instrument cluster and systems, a Climate app for climate controls, a Radio app for both FM and SiriusXM, and customizable widgets.
