Add $25 to Apple Account Balance, Get 2 Months Free Apple Music

Apple has an upcoming promotion that gives users up to two months of free Apple Music when they add funds to their Apple Account balance, according to code found by MacRumors contributor Aaron Perris.

The offer will provide two months of free Apple Music for new subscribers and one month for qualified returning subscribers when adding $25 or more to an Apple Account balance. Users receive a bonus code immediately after adding the required amount.

The promotion is set to run through March 16, 2026, and is available only in the United States for users 13 and older. Gift card purchases from third-party retailers and Apple stores are excluded from the offer.

After the free period ends, Apple Music automatically renews at $10.99 per month unless canceled. Users can manage their subscription through the Apple Account section at the top of iPhone's Settings app menu (then tap Payment & Shipping ➝ Add Money to Apple Account). To avoid being charged, users must cancel at least one day before renewal.

The offer, which has yet to go live, will be limited to one per Apple Account and cannot be combined with other Apple Music promotions.

I get that Apple is focusing on new subs but, it would be nice if Apple also focused on current members as well. Of course, the typical business promo usually ignores the current customer. Why should I hope for something different?

It seems to be part of the human condition that we take something for granted until its absence clarifies its value for us.

The absence is the key, either forced on us or forced by us.

You’d need to be prepared to leave to see whether Apple really sees value in you. If it does, it will eventually seek you out. If it does not, perhaps it was a lopsided relationship to begin with.

In the world of relationships we teach people (companies being groups of people) how to treat us.

Hope there’s something useful in the nexus above. Maybe not the answer you were originally looking for.

So many financial "games" now with Apple.

I just don't understand fellow long time Apple fans who actually like this version of the company.

This is not the Apple I fell in love with many decades ago.

So put $25 into an Apple Account balance, locking it away in Apple’s bank account forever…as you’d have to use those funds to buy something from Apple eventually, to get back $22 worth of Apple Music…

I dunno. I’d rather put the $25 in a HYS account, or other investment.
If you're going to use it and you want Apple Music, it does make sense. The total interest on a $25 deposit in a HYSA account, at current rates, for a year is less than a dollar.

..but like most promotions, this is designed to get you to spend money you wouldn't have otherwise.

Stopped using Apple Music years ago for YouTube Premium, which offers no YouTube ads + YouTube Music for $14 per month. As someone who watches lot of YouTube on their Apple TV, it's a great deal and a bonus of a good enough music service.
