I still can’t get over how ugly those renders look. It’s hard to believe Apple would release something that looks so bad.

Seriously, why do so many people upgrade each year? Everyone complains about how incremental and small the upgrades are and how they don’t have the money, but then those same people proceed to go buy the $1000+ phone every year. I upgraded from a iPhone SE 2nd gen to a 16 and yea it was a good upgrade, but I don’t see any reason why upgrading this year would make any sense.

People just like to bitch about how they would upgrade if only it were "worth" it. And then likely do so anyway. Ad nauseam. Every ****ing year.
I'm on iPhone 13. Still waiting for something "worth" it.

Apple's prowess of pulling off incremental upgrades when it would be so tempting to innovate is unmatched.
The trick is to not buy a new phone/whatever each year.

Unless something silly happens in terms of pricing I am looking for a upgrade from my 12 mini to a 17 pro. Always wanted that Tele lens and the raw photography option, bigger sensor makes it look like the time to get it.
Beyond that I also hope for a phone that has much higher battery capabilities compared to my 12 mini because honestly my 12 mini can do everything beyond the missing lens perfectly fine except for its battery wich was terrible from day one. To me it feels like it should be a massive upgrade and probably good enough to actually get a battery replacement in 4-5 years instead of a new phone.
