All-New Apple CarPlay Feature Leaked
Apple CarPlay will soon support third-party chatbots, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman.

This would pave the way for companies like OpenAI and Google to make ChatGPT and Gemini apps available through CarPlay in vehicles.
The report said users would need to tap on their preferred chatbot's app in order to use it. A voice mode would appear on screen automatically.
"That means a driver could, say, ask ChatGPT for restaurant recommendations without taking their hands off the wheel," said Gurman.
The overall CarPlay system will still rely on Siri for voice control.
The third-party chatbot support will roll out "within the coming months," so it could be part of either iOS 26.4 or iOS 27. However, it could take longer for chatbot makers to extend their apps to CarPlay, and some might decide not to.
