The iPhone Air MagSafe Battery is only compatible with the iPhone Air, and it can add up to 65 percent additional charge to the smartphone. The MagSafe Battery supports up to 12W of fast wireless charging, and it sports a thin and light design similar to the iPhone Air.

I see these on FB Marketplace for $20, routinely.

The only thing harder to sell on FBM than the iPhone Air is the iPhone Air battery pack.

So strange to lean into an external battery pack design that only works for the Air.

I bought this battery with my Air because of all the talk about poor battery life on the Air. I bought it just in case I needed it at the end of the day. Well, the Air’s battery life has been great. Better than my previous 14 Pro, and that’s good enough for me. Still haven’t used the external battery yet.


And yes, the Air is awesome. Super happy with it.

If there had been a smaller version of the Air, I'd have been into it (coming from 13 Mini).

Alas, it's just another sushi plate sized rectangle, thin or not.

Yep. It would have made sense to release a battery pack that was compatible with ALL current iPhones. Battery packs, like cables, are accessories that lose massive amounts of value if non-standard.

It pushes buyers away from Apple and to a third party powerbank brand, which are standardized. Ugreen makes a pretty good slim 5000 MaH MagSafe battery pack that somehow works on all iPhones with MagSafe.

I bought one of these and still have only used it twice. The battery on the iPhone Air is not as bad as people like to make out - it’s doing me just fine and I don’t find it any worse than my previous iPhone 15 Pro.
