Watching the World Cup has been a lot of fun - maybe I'll start making an effort with the MLS.

Come back and let us know what you think of MLS.
Sadly, there is a reason that the top players in their prime play elsewhere.

I wish the other major sports leagues would have similar streaming deals. Trying to watch all of your teams games on streaming is so frustrating and confusing.

Just let me pay one price and get all the games. No one wants to deal with having to subscribe to three different services just to watch all of their favorite teams games. One service, one price, one place to go to watch it all, regular season and playoffs. That's what we want.

I guess a chicken and the egg thing, eh?

MLS isn't better because they can't offer the money, and the money comes from interest and people watching, which MLS struggles with due to level of play/players they have.

Frustrating.
I wish it were more compelling.
Yes—this was the problem with the old NASL — spent a ton of money, bought the best players in the world, but the stadiums were nearly empty.

But this is where MLS has gotten it right—slow sustained growth: building the fan base without bankrupting the league.

I enjoy watching college football more than the NFL, and there's a clear difference in the quality of play there too. If I enjoy the atmosphere, I think I'll have fun. We'll see!
It's a little different comparison there, but I take your point.

The NFL vs CFL would be a more apt comparison, as the CFL is full of players that didn't make it in the NFL or are past their prime and playing out days for some more money.

Enjoy!
