This is a sincere question: What are some use cases for using this feature, same number on two phones seems redundant, Thanks in advance.
[LIST=1]
* Work phone (MDM managed) vs personal phone using the same number
* Want to buy a Duo but want to use your 18 Pro for a night out with friends and use much better cameras with a much less fragile device
* Want to travel light and use an Air to go out, but use the premium phone for your daily driver

Basically whatever device you grab is going to have your number and Messages app on it, for less than a new line of service.

No question this is so folks don't have to choose between a Duo with lesser cameras and the 18 Pro. They want to sell you both, but they definitely won't if you have to pay for 2 full lines.

I hope Verizon doesn't charge $5/mo for it (they probably will). It's a cool feature, but shouldn't cost that much extra in my opinion.
The carriers probably see this as free money.

They raised the price of having a cellular Apple Watch a couple years ago, its all a money grab.

I’ll be shocked if it doesn’t expand to AT&T as well.

I would pay that if it was between an iPhone and Android (I have both).

This all sounds like a devious way to get me to buy two iPhones. And I’m fine with that.
