iPhone Duo: Access Control Center With a Tap Not a Swipe

Opening Control Center on iPhone normally means swiping down from the top-right corner of the screen, but the iPhone Duo features a second, easier way to invoke the controls. Keep reading to learn how it's done.

Tap to Open Control Center on iPhone Duo

1. With your iPhone Duo unlocked, tap the circular status bar below the clock (the combined Wi-Fi, cellular and battery indicator).
2. When Control Center opens, you'll also see the status bar expand into its individual Wi-Fi, cellular and battery parts.

The shortcut saves you stretching your finger to the top-right corner, making Control Center easier to reach one-handed. Also, when a Live Activity is running, the status bar moves even further down the screen, so it comes within even easier reach.
