iOS 14.5: How to Discover the Most Played Apple Music Songs in Your City

by

With the release of iOS 14.5, Apple made a number of minor tweaks to the Apple Music app that together make for a much-improved user experience for subscribers to the streaming service.

Alongside interface changes and the added ability to send lyrics and song clips to others, Apple also added a collection of new "City Charts" that offer access to playlists featuring the most played songs in more than 100 cities around the world.

Of course, just because you live in a city doesn't mean it will be included in the City Charts list, but ‌Apple Music‌'s chart does prioritize locations in your country or territory, so you can still get to know what songs are most popular in the cities and conurbations closest to you.

Here's how to find the City Charts on iPhones and iPads running iOS 14.5/iPadOS 14.5 and later.

  1. In the Apple Music app, tap the Search tab at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Scroll down through the "Browse Categories" section and select Charts.
  3. Tap one of the City Charts in the named section below "Top Charts," or tap See All next to "City Charts" to see the full list of 100 cities.
